REPL

Abreviação de loop read-eval-print, REPL é o nível superior interativo de um interpretador de linguagem de programação ou shell de linha de comando. Ele oferece ao usuário um prompt simples, aceita expressões, as avalia e imprime o resultado. Os exemplos seriam shells como bash ou csh, ou o interpretador interativo de uma linguagem como Python ou Lisp.
