Este artigo irá explicar o que é IHA e como usar IHA.

IHA

Abreviação de Intel Hub Architecture, IHA é a substituição para Northbridge e Southbridge encontradas em placas-mãe de computador. O IHA é encontrado em todos os chipsets da série Intel 800 e, como seu predecessor, tem duas partes: o GMCH e o ICH.

O GMCH, ou Graphics and AGP Memory Control Hub, é semelhante ao Northbridge e ajuda a controlar o AGP e a memória.

O ICH, ou I \/O Controller Hub, é semelhante ao Southbridge e é responsável pelas portas I \/O e pelo controlador PCI.
